Episode 9: Micah Dalton, music and meaning

He’s been described as “an earthier, cleverer Ben Harper.”  He’s an Atlanta native, one of the founders of ATL Collective and a singer songwriter.  In this episode we sit down to talk to Micah Dalton about his music, songwriting, covers and collaboration, living and loving Atlanta, another reason to get on twitter, and what’s coming next.  Oh and listen for the Mark Twain reference!

Episode 7: Great Sounds- ATL Collective

Do you ever think about the vinyl days of music?  Do you reminisce about when people would listen to an album all the way through, A side, then B side?  If so, you’re not alone.  Every month a bunch of Atlanta musicians get together at Eddie’s Attic and cover an entire classic album, putting their own special spin on it, of course. It’s a rotating cast of musicians, interesting in putting on a great show built around classic music.

If you know the album, it’s a fresh look at it.  If you don’t, it’s a unique introduction.  Either way, you’re going to hear some local talent and get exposure to a complete classic album.

They’ve done the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Bruce Springsteen, the Velvet Underground and TONIGHT, they are doing Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys.  The show starts at 8pm and doors open at 7 at Eddie’s Attic.  We will be there and you should seriously consider attending yourself.

Listen here or check it out on itunes.
